The biggest change has been crashing. It should now be much more stable. I’m really sorry about the hassle everyone’s had having to keep relaunching to play, so I hope this will put an end to it for you.
I’ve also added a way to change your profile pic (Just tap your pic under your personal profile), a chance to restart your character, more ways to help you spread your circle rune, and more community features including Twitter support and video support. Small fixes include no rotating in classes and training, and faster loading.

Update
There are some bugs with v3. First, let me say I’m so so sorry about this, I know how annoying it is. The two bugs I’ve identified are the following- replying to a message crashes the app, and mind training has the answers blacked out. These only occur for users running the 3.0 software update. I missed these because I can only afford one iPhone, and I keep it on 2.0 because most players also use 2.0. But I will have both these bugs fixed and submitted to Apple tomorrow, so v4 should be available as soon as possible. Other than the v3 issues noted above I’ve been having a problem with changing my profile image. I can change it, and it stays changed for the session – but when I exit the application and open it again later – it’s always back to the original photo that was put up at account creation.

Really love the game & the new version is great tho was hoping that somethings might have changed bout the need to have a certain amount of people in your circle for certain spells. Personally I like having a smaller circle that I have more contact with. You know only joining cause you want to not cause you have to. Cheers Sara love love love the app.

Since the new update the app has been crashing a lot and freezing up my iPod. It usually only happens when I try and start a dual. I never had this problem before the update, and the only way I can unfreeze my iPod is to hook it up to my pc.

Hey, love this app, haven’t been experiencing much crashing on my iPod touch! Something I noticed was that no matter what score I got in either reflexes, strength or mind, it was always maxed out when I went back to the ‘training’ button. Other than that, working well!

Hey I love this game but I along with many other players have a problem with the requirement of 3000 minimum for level 7 spells. I hope to see this problem changed:) love this game!!

Every time I reply to a message sent to me magicwars crashes since newest update. I love the game and the chats with others, but the constant crashing is dang annyoing.

I was giving the overall game some thought. I think something that would a lot is more satisfying dual results. Instead of just won or lost, a spell result effect is used “Bushi is flung into the lake, you win”, “you melt Draco with acid jet” etc.

Spell practice mode is broken, it will keep giving you the same first score after each try unless you exit back out to spell lust and reselect.

Just a quick suggestion, but since you are constrained on version/device testing, why not take some community volunteers for light QA? That worked out pretty well for wordpress and their iphone app. That way you know you will have reasonable solid code submits across versions/devices.

I just wanted to make a suggestion that when you are dueling someone, there should be an easy way to see if that person is already in your circle so you don’t invite them again. Also it would be easier to grow your circle larger if you could easily see the people who are and aren’t in your circle.

I recently purchased the 1.99 app for 10000 gold and I never recieved any of it, but I did lose a 1.99 from my itunes acount. can anyone help me with this problem?

The gold apps have not yet been approved by Apple as far as I know, so I’m not sure how you were able to buy one. Nevertheless, if you could, you should still receive your gold!

Yeah I also have issue with training in Mind. It’s all blacked out. Found a way to get around this by tapping an answer. When I do it highlights and can see the answer. If I know the answer is right I lift up my finger. If the answer is wrong then I slide my finger off the answer until it’s unhighlighted and lift up my finger. Then try Answer B and so on.

Hi, thanks to everyone for reporting the crashing. I can see why I missed it- it only occurs in 3.0. I can only afford one device, and I keep that on 2.0 because most MW users have 2.0. I’ll fix it as soon as possible, and submit the new version to Apple.

I’ve also problems with reponding messages. Everytime I did, the app crashed. I restart my iTouch, but it doesn’t help at all. I hope this can fixed.

I also started having problems with crashing during responding to messages… Also, when training in Mind, the background is the same color as the words in the answer boxes making it impossible to read the answers. Is anyone else having this problem?
PS – I think this is one of the most fun RPG’s available to the iPhone! Thank you Sara for taking the time and putting such an effort into this!

Oh wow… I have 3.0 software update for itouch and It is not stable AT ALL. It crashes every minute. I dont get it… when you had V2 .. i never had this crashing problem now suddenly it crashes sometimes every 30 seconds.

Alright well I like the update. Much more stable. Could you possibly make a way to change your name in the next update?
I was disappointed to find that this update did little to nothing to simplify the circle rune problem. Sure you added more options to post your rune in different places but, people dont really bother to add you through this method. People don’t really bother to add you this way because .. first you’re a stranger to them.. and second, there are like 50 other people saying add me add me! So, it doesnt really work.. it’s easier sending messages to be honest.
Hopefully there will be a change in circle count requirements in the next update. I can get to 1000… but getting another 2000 people? No way.
